This particular cooton carpet woven in the jail of Agra has an all over repetitive star pattern. The stars are reminiscent of cosmetic constellations which are supposed to bring good luck. Given its proximity to Agrathe designs could have also come from the Taj Mahal, which boasts of some exquisite trellis work in marble. The combination of blue and white is soothing to the eye.
