Its flagship gallery is in Mumbai, with offices in New Delhi, London and New York. At the forefront of selling Indian art, Saffronart has, over the last two decades, held online and live auctions, exhibitions, and Dialogues in Art, working with collectors, gallerists and artists to develop a strong market for art and aesthetics. Its focus is to bring transparency to the auction process, and provide easy access and information to collectors around the world. Saffronart’s services go beyond auctions to include private sales, appraisals and valuations for clients. SENIOR MANAGER | LOGISTICS AND OPERATIONS

Role:
Saffronart is looking to hire a Senior Manager for its Logistics and Operations team, based out of the Mumbai office.

Key Responsibilities:
• Extensive planning and shipping of consignments.
• Managing auction projects (online and live auctions).
• Handling domestic and international exhibition shipments.
• Coordinating with third party carriers for smooth functioning of shipments.
• Handling all export and import paperwork for smooth functioning of daily logistics, including filing and completion of all exports documentation and order fulfilment.
• Organising transportation of consignments within India and internationally. This includes working with outsourced packers to ensure that the consignments are packed properly, insured and shipped in a timely manner.
• Managing inventory module and stock reconciliation on a regular basis.
• Working within deadlines to ensure smooth transportation of consignments to clients and for events.
• Staying regularly informed and knowledgeable on details pertaining to the structure of taxes and duties in various countries, and updating the teams regarding the same.
• Optimising shipping and packing costs and maintaining and analysing monthly reports on expenditure v/s profits.
• Also developing and maintaining a smooth working relationship with all government organisations involved in the export and import of paintings (customs, RBI, etc.)
• Handling stay risk and transit insurance and working with all teams to ensure a smooth process for the same.
• Develop appropriate supply chain strategy to maximize customer satisfaction at the lowest possible cost

Qualification and experience:
• Graduate in a bachelor’s degree; a Diploma/Degree in Logistic and Supply Chain Management is an advantage
• Minimum 6-8 years of experience in a logistics company; experience working on art-based logistics is ideal
• Excellent communication skills, including fluency in English and Hindi
