Content Marketing Manager

We are looking for a highly dynamic and creative Content Marketing Manager to join our Marketing team in our Mumbai office, who will be responsible for developing and implementing all content marketing strategies on all platforms. This will include writing content on Indian art and artists, classical Indian art and antiquities, jewellery, design, collectibles and other related fields for our social handles and e-mails.

Key Responsibilities:
• Developing innovative content strategies and managing social content calendar for all platforms
• Creating 360 degree marketing campaigns with measurable KPIs
• Writing compelling content on Indian art and artists, classical Indian art and antiquities,jewellery, design, collectibles and other related fields
• Managing the development of content and ensuring content is clearly communicated and consistent across platforms

Librarian and Researcher

We are looking for an established and hard-working individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with library databases to join our team in Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for managing our reference library and contributing to the research requirements of various departments. The candidate must have excellent organisational and record-keeping skills, the ability to adhere to tight deadlines, and be very comfortable with database management systems. Compensation offered is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain all records related to the reference library including the online library module
• Oversee the circulation of library materials, keep track of due return dates, and follow up with team members as and when necessary
• Conduct regular checks and updates on inventory and database information
• Oversee the digitisation of the library and work closely and coordinate with the external digitising agency as required
• Assist the Client Relations, Editorial, and Marketing teams with sourcing reference material

Jewellery Assistant

We are currently looking for a bright, self-motivated, hard-working individual for the position of Jewellery Assistant with about 1-3 years of jewellery experience (freshers are also welcome). This candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting the jewellery team in the day-to-day cataloguing and condition checks of all jewellery handled by the team for Saffronart and its sister auction platform StoryLTD as well as other administrative tasks. The ideal candidate should have some jewellery experience and/or certification from the GIA. The candidate must also be fluent in English (spoken and written), have good organisational skills, the ability to adhere to tight deadlines, and be familiar with MS Office. Compensation offered is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:

• Create inward and outward documents
• Perform first round of condition check of goods on their arrival and the last check before shipping
• Regular data entry on the organisation’s internal database
• Prepare and update Excel sheets and Word documents as per the team’s requirements
• Prepare consignment agreements as per the team’s requirements
• Assist with stock inventory, which includes handling jewellery, instruments, forms, and any props used
• Assist with maintaining and updating paper records and liaise across locations
• Maintain the library for the department’s books
• Assist in photoshoots
• Assist in the process of cataloguing inventory for print/online auction catalogue
• Assist in post-auction shipment related processes and checks
• Assist in any other projects undertaken by the department (Jewellery conference, Dialogues in Art etc)
• Assist with the jewellery set-up and viewings for any auction and/or client viewings across locations in India

Requirements:

• Graduate in any discipline is a must
• Previous jewellery experience is preferred – relevant work experience of 1 to 3 years
• GIA certification is preferred (AJP, Graduate Diamonds)
• Excellent organisation skills and an eye for detail
• Should be a team player with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks within agreed-upon deadlines
• Willing to adjust to longer work hours, if necessary

Editorial Assistant Manager

We are looking for an Assistant Manager to join the Editorial team in our Mumbai office. The Assistant Manager will be responsible for well-researched and substantive writing on Indian art and artists, classical Indian art and antiquities, jewellery, design, collectibles, and other related fields for the Saffronart catalogues. They will also write and edit content for all print and digital platforms. They should have excellent command over grammar and writing, good organisational skills, and the ability to adhere to tight deadlines. A background in art is highly desirable. Compensation offered is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Researching and producing high quality, well-written content for auction catalogues
• Editing and/or writing content for the Saffronart website, blog, newsletter, proposals etc.
• Coordinating press and PR materials including press releases, interviews, statements, and media requests
• Working closely with the marketing team to strategise and create content for email marketing and social media channels
• Proofreading, editing, and ensuring tonal consistency across communication channels
• Checking accuracy of sources and research material

Art Cataloguer
Location: Mumbai and Delhi

As a cataloguer, you will be responsible for cataloguing artworks and other objects. You will identify and enter data in Saffronart’s ERP system in the required format and conduct relevant research. We are looking for University graduates with a background in Art. Prior full or part-time experience working in an art gallery or museum is desirable, though not essential. The job will also require liaising with other Saffronart offices on administrative and inventory matters.

Core Requirements:
• Knowledge of art and art materials. A background in Indian art, either by academic training or by experience.
• Determine appropriate treatments for artworks and highlight issues
• Excellent organisation skills and detail orientation
• Should be a team player and co-ordinate with the auction specialist and the team across all categories to complete tasks within deadlines, and improve the cataloguing process
• The ability to re-organize deadlines according to the highest priority
• A willingness to adjust and adapt to new rules
• Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English)
• Good computer skills, including MS Excel and MS PowerPoint
• Excellent attitude and willingness to take on any task
• Attending to clients and phone calls, responding to queries, and taking on any additional tasks as and when required.
