A tribal carpet from Kafkash, Causasus, with geometric medallion design, that has five motifs identified as Eagle Kazak, the exact origins have been lost, but it is commonly perceived as a geometric representation of two eagle heads.The deep indigo field provides a perfect foil for the bright colored motifs in orange and beige. The border is red with simple geometric designs.
1949 is woven at the upper left, which makes this piece unique.
