“‘JAWAHARLAL NEHRU / 24.6.1957’: A SIGNED LONDON EDITION OF THE PRIME MINISTER’S AUTOBIOGRAPHY”

This “new edition” includes the postscript chapter “Five Years Later”, reflecting on India’s early years of independence and Nehru’s evolving vision for the newly sovereign republic.

Originally written in 1934–35 while Nehru was in prison, An Autobiography offers not only a personal history but also a compelling insider’s account of India’s freedom movement, Gandhi’s influence, and Nehru’s ideological struggles. This signed copy, inscribed less than a decade after independence, is of significant historical value.

Signed copies of Nehru’s autobiography are increasingly rare, particularly in Western editions published in London during his tenure as prime minister.
