Born in 1958 in Mysore, Nataraj Sharma grew up in Egypt, England and Zambia. He studied Applied Art at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Maharaja Sayajirao University, Baroda, graduating in 1982.

This lot is in two parts
The upper part appears as the inside of a matchbox with the matchsticks visible and is detachable from the lower part. It measures 15 x 30.5 x 13.5 in (151 x 85 x 39 cm)
The lower part is in the form of a cupboard which can be opened, comes with a key and has drawers and cabinets. The cupboard also has wheels and measures 59.5 x 33.5 x 15.5 in (38 x 77 x 34 cm)
