This Pahari painting shows its subjects placed within a pavilion at the bottom right?hand side corner. The architecture and foreground are finely painted with a skilful use of perspective. Krishna and his brother Balarama seem to be receiving advice from their father Nanda. The border is decorated with white flowers, a feature often seen in this period. The colour tones are soft, and a horse?drawn chariot is seen parked in the far horizon. The manner in which the faces of the figures are painted shows the high quality of the work.
