Born in Kolkata in 1965, Anandajit Ray completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts at M. S. University, Baroda, in 1989 and 1991 respectively.

This is one from an edition of nine works, however for each edition the fabric of the bricks is in a different color


This work comprises of the following:
a) An armor made of bronze which rests on the iron rod not touching the base, giving it an appearance of being suspended in mid air.
b) A base made of an inner pvc tube covered with brick shaped pieces made of foam which has been finished with satin. The top of the base is made with a plywood covered with foam which has been finished with satin.
c) An iron rod which is a central support and is placed vertically through the work
