Persian Carpet
KilimLate 19th centuryHandwoven,...
View Dimensions A beautiful and minimal design flatweave kilim from northwest Persia. The central field is drawn in a highly “abrashed” red field colour which varies in its intensity along the length of the weaving and lends a lot of movement to the simple design. “Abrash” is the result of wool yarn dyed in small quantities, due to which the shades of colour have brilliant minor variations. The sides of the kilim are framed with bold brown mountain peak borders.
