- I was very much impressed by Bachelard’s "water and dreams" in which he estimated that the power and creative image of water are best expressed verbally rather than visually. My paintings are images of palpable viscous forms, which are reflection of water, a superficial world. Honest representation of this concept in terms of symbolism is metaphysical and not aesthetic. I aspire to make a human reality out of imagination and reverie.

The world to me is nothing but reflection of eternal truth. The dilemma of being alive and yet invisible in a shower of chimera and colours come out in the forms of wide-eyed youngsters with questioning eyes and their fingers close to their mouths. This image reflects the helplessness and perplexity that confronts us everywhere. There is no end of chasing wild goose named desire and hedonism. As a part of generation "X", I try to analyse what lies beneath this materialistic and too pragmatic an attitude towards life? What drives us away from our traditional values? Is it modernism or post modernism? Since I am not a social reformer but only an artist. I simply want to present my thoughts and visions in terms of colours and lines, the reflection of a world, which is far from "the superficial world of any visual contemplation."

I do not overlook the spontaneous reaction of the sincere and devout to the evil of degradation of human spirit. I carry on my mission to manifest the spirit in terms of colour and lines. I prefer to characterise and interpret the emotion of this neo- generation with my personal symbolism. There is an expression of personal religious and spiritual experience directed towards the condemnation of evil rather than glorification of the good. One should realize that life is not all hedonistic; pleasure is temporal and followed by depression and sorrow. It is only bliss that is perpetual. Let us realize it. Let us confront the reality. My works well communicate this message.
