The Qashgai are one of tribes of migratory herders in Iran. Due to its proximity with the Shiraz tribe the carpets bear a great amount of similarity, the the term Quashgai Shiraz. These carpets have nomadic patterns with pole medallions or small medallions scattered all over. In this piece the three central medallions are in white, with animal motifs spread across the field.
