Kazak rugs are known for their geometrical designs, and contain large scaled patterns, several medallions, and bright contrasting colors. Set in a deep red field, with geometric shapes in contrasting colors across it. he border carries forward the same color schema and is comprised of continuous lozenges. Rugs woven in the south of the Caucasus, (the region stretching between the Caspian and Black Sea) are identified as Kazak rugs.
