Rectangular cigarette case, hinged at the top, with a stamped geometric pattern on its lid, stamped Boucheron, Paris.

This elegant cigarette case is engraved with the personal crest and stylized 'P.S.' monogram, dated 1946, of the Late Colonel H.H. Farzand-i-Dilband Rasikh-al-Iqtidad-i-Daulat-i-Inglishia, Raja-i-Rajagan, Paramjit Singh Bahadur, Maharaja of Kapurthala (1892 - 1955). The Maharajas of Kapurthala were traditionalists in their extravagant taste for luxury, and the present lot is a superb example of their highly developed sense of style.
