Quick Zoom

Designed as two rows of full cut diamonds, each suspending a fringe of rectangular emeralds and rose-cut taviz-shaped diamond beads, to an elongated central pendant set with a rectangular and oval-shaped emerald, and variously cut and shaped diamonds, joined by two emerald and diamond-set links to a diamond-set back chain, and oval-shaped emerald clasp, suspending a diamond-set pendant, with a total emerald weight of approximately 24.88 carats, and a total diamond weight of approximately 56.92 carats, mounted in 18 K gold

This is a contemporary design based on the infamous `Inquisition Necklace` which was originally owned by European Royalty and then by an Indian Maharaja, before it was acquired by Harry Winston in the mid 1940s. The necklace was then purchased and subsequently donated to the Smithsonian Institute where it is now on permanent display.
