Murlidhar Sadashiv Joshi was born in 1912 in Nashik, Maharashtra. Joshi studied under D D Deolalikar, who founded the Indore School of Art in 1927. Much like his contemporaries at the time, his works featured bold brushstrokes and a vibrant colour palette.
