The beauty of this piece lies in the skilled craftsmanship of its execution. Although this is a miniature, the craftsman has cast it with the same care and attention to detail as a large sculpture. Goddess Parvati, known as Uma when shown seated, holds a flower bud in her right hand. The position is lalitasana, or the posture of ease. The left hand balances the body with a natural tilt. She sits on a double lotus pedestal with a rectangular base at the bottom similar to the larger bronzes.
