A stylised lotus centring on a modified square-cut spinel to a surround of rose-cut diamonds and with a diamond-set stem, mounted in 18K white gold.

The lotus motif seen in lots 7, 8 and 24 is prevalent in jewellery, crafts, textiles and architecture across India, and often appears in innovative forms. It is symbolic of beauty, fertility and wisdom. In Indian culture, it also represents prosperity and is associated with Lakshmi, who is frequently depicted as seated upon the open petals of a lotus. This radiant flower is also an emblem of life and creation, and alludes to the synergy between land, water and sky.
