Warli art is a traditional tribal art form practiced by the Warli community of Maharashtra, especially in the Thane and Palghar regions. Traditionally painted on mud walls using white pigment made from rice paste, Warli paintings use simple geometric forms-circles, triangles, and lines-to depict scenes of village life, farming, forests, animals, rituals, music, and dance. Despite its minimal visual vocabulary, the art form conveys strong narratives about community life and the close relationship between humans and nature.
