Created using the 'lost wax' or cire perdue method of casting, this finely detailed seated figure of a 'devi' or goddess is ornamented with several necklaces and belts. She also wears an unusual two- tier crown. In her hands, she holds a flower and a plate used to collect offerings like grains of rice.
