Born in 1978 in Jhelum, Pakistan, Hasnat Mehmood is a visual artist who received his BFA in Miniature Painting from National College of Arts in Lahore. Trained as a traditional miniature painter, he uses his knowledge of the art form to address contemporary issues.

Some of Mehmood’s solo shows include ‘I Love Miniature’ at Aicon Gallery, New York; ‘Buy One Get One’ at Rohtas gallery in Lahore; and ‘Original Image May Vary’ at Chawkandi... Mehmood’s works are in the collections of the British Museum, London; Fukuoka Museum of Asian Arts, Japan; and the American Consulate in Karachi.
