Influence of European culture and art is quite clear in his abstract works. Large rectangles of saturated primary colors with the predominance of flaming reds and oranges are laid flat on the canvas to a meditational pitch, that conjuring dense moods of a throbbing, sun-drenched vastness which co-exist with areas of equally powerful blackness."
