This architectural frieze would have once been part of the architecture and served as a door jamb. The bottom shows a Gandharva holding up the structure. Above this element a prancing Yali, a mythical lion stands atop an elephant. A dancing apsara is seen at the centre of this sculpture with a pillar running all the way to the top ending in an overflowing urn – a sign of abundance and prosperity. The design continues at a deeper dimension to the right ending in the sculpture of another dancing lady. The buff sandstone colour, secular subjects and multi-dimensional depth add to the beauty of this piece.
