This is a wall-mounted work
Vishnu and his devotee Sesha are said to be inseparable. Sesha the serpent is said to have great cosmic significance. This particular sculpture has a folk overtone with simple geometrical elements. Vishnu's hand rests on a bolster under Sesha’s head, which is large and makes a fantastic canopy much like an umbrella. Laxmi stands in the background. The lotus issuing from Vishnu’s navel has a seated miniature Brahma. Quite interestingly, three monkey devotees are shown standing in a row in obedience.
