PROVENANCE
From an Important Private Collection, Mumbai
This early medieval buff sandstone head has arched eyebrows, well-defined curved eyes, and a pleasant smile. As seen in the earlier period, the features are not geometrical or stiff in nature. The hair is tied stylistically with ornate head ornaments.
