‘BANDHANI ODHANI‘

'Bandhani' is a traditional Indian tie-dye technique and 'mukaish' is a traditional metal embroidery technique from India. This 'odhani' showcases very fine 'bandhani' and 'mukaish' work on georgette, which differs from the textiles seen in today.

This 'odhani' was used to cover the head of the bride during marriage ceremonies of the Memon families in Gujarat.
