WOODEN PANEL

This elaborately carved wooden panel originates from old architecture in Kerala. The region has had one of the earliest and finest wood working traditions in India. Most examples of early Kerala wood that can be found today date back to the 17th century, and only very few examples date back to as early as the 15th or 16th century, making the present lot very rare.
