Dr. Robert I Crane was one of the foremost scholars of Indian history in the US, and a leading exponent for Indo-American relations. A published author on the subject, Dr. Crane taught at a number of Universities. Born in Calcutta, Dr. Crane was stationed in Delhi with the technical aid mission from the US Office of Special Services to British India during World War II, and continued to preserve his ties with country all his life.
