(Indian Painting Today - 1981, Bombay: Jehangir Art Gallery Publication, 1981, p. 27) Santosh juxtaposed geometric shapes based on the human figure to create works that derive as much from the Buddhist mandala as from straight geometry. He merged the two to create paintings that were imbued with an aura of mysticism.
