A gilt bronze and copper repousse figure of Shiva and his consort Parvati from Nepal, this is a fine example of Newari workmanship, most well known for their metal work in the medieval period. Shiva sits on a double lotus base, holding his attributes of the trident and the damru adorned with an ornate crown.
