Neill; original red pictorial cloth, stamped in navy blue, silver and green, spine and upper cover carrying the full title and author's name, stamped only in blue, horizontal single rule at the top and double rule at the bottom of spine in blue with a picture of Jinjur in blue and green, publisher's imprint on the spine reading 'The Reilly & Britton Co.', a picture of Jack Pumpkin-head in blue to lower cover, pictorial endpapers printed in dark green on a pale green glossy stock.

Signed by L Frank Baum on a special presentation slip and further inscribed in pencil "Little mary / from uncle Harry".
