Vijay Kumar Verma is a Sanjhi artist. Sanjhi is an artform practiced in Mathura and Vrindavan which involves the process of paper stencilling. Sanjhi compositions are noted for their delicate designs and motifs that are drawn from tales about the Hindu deity Lord Krishna. The artform holds religious significance to the communities practising them and is often used to make rangolis during rituals and ceremonies.
