Ravishankar has received many awards, including the Charles Wallace Trust Award for printmaking in 1996, and the Printmaking Research Fellowship from the Lalit Kala Akademi in 1985. His works are included in the collections of the Kungsten Grunchen Gallery, Switzerland; Government Museum, Chennai; Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi; Lalit Kala Academy, Regional Centre, Chennai; National Modern Art Gallery, New Delhi; and the French and Brazilian Embassies in New Delhi.
