Nankusia Shyam

Nankusia Shyam’s art is inspired by nature and its myriad forms. She often paints the flora and fauna that she encountered growing up in the village of Sonpuri in Madhya Pradesh. Shyam learnt to paint from her husband, the Gond artist Jangarh Singh Shyam, who encouraged her to fill in the figures in his works.
