Kala Bai Shyam

Kala Bai Shyam is a Gond artist from Patangarh, Madhya Pradesh. Shyam is best known for being one of the pioneering female Pardhan Gond artists to use modern artistic mediums and tools, such as canvas, brush and acrylic paints, in her practice. Shyam’s art is centred around her love for animals and nature, with most of her paintings featuring tigers, deer, trees and birds as the main subject.
