Born in the village of Thangadh in Gujarat, Jitu Oghani began his artistic career at the Sheth C N College of Fine Arts. Inspired by his teachers, he later returned to the institute to train new students. In his work Oghani uses vibrant colour combinations to explore the lives of ordinary people, often combining them with stories past and present.
