Ayaan Ali Khan is an artist and musician from Delhi. He was born into a family of musicians, his father Amjad Ali Khan and brother Amaan Ali Khan are also musicians. Khan took up the sarod at an early age and is the seventh generation of the Senia Bangash School. As a musician he has helped popularise the sarod as a crossover instrument. He has performed frequently at Carnegie Hall, the Smithsonian, the Chicago Symphony Center, the Summer Arts Festival in the United States; the Edinburgh Music festival and the Royal Festival Hall in the United Kingdom, Palais Beaux-Arts in Belgium; and ESPLANADE in Singapore.
Khan began making sketches as a child. From a very early age, he was taken by the deity Ganesha, who has been a recurring figure in his art. He has created images of Ganesha in many mediums like watercolours, acrylics and oils. The artist views his visual art as a continuation of his music. He came to the conclusion that the visual representation of the spirituality he finds in music would be done through the figure of Ganesha.
He has held solo exhibitions in New Delhi.
