Born in Colombo in 1962, painter, sculptor and installation artist Anoli Perera studied political science, economics and sociology at the University of Colombo, Sri Lanka, followed by a postgraduate diploma in international affairs. She lived in the US between 1988 – 1992 and took up art education programmes in California and at Princeton in New Jersey.
