Raheja School of Arts in Mumbai. Her ink on paper works are generally studies of the human face and form. Through her depictions of masks and various other head gear, the artist uses her work to pose interesting questions about identity and appearance. Using bold, confident lines, Parkhi’s drawings are statements about human nature; about individuality and its manifestations. The shading in the background not only serves to add texture to her work, but also creates a conceptual space or setting from which her characters can effectively emerge. Amongst Parkhi's honours are an Honorable Mention at le Prix de la Photographic, Paris, in 2008. The artist was also awarded a scholarship at the Angkor Festival held in Cambodia in 2007. In 2004, her campaign was declared Best Photographic Campaign by All India Photographic Association.
