Manoj Mitra

Born in 1953 in Kolkata, West Bengal, Manoj Mitra studied at the Government College of Art and Craft, Kolkata. He has been a member of the Contemporary Artists group since 1984. Concerning his art, Mitra's work is an amalgamation of female portraiture and nature, blending the two seamlessly unto canvas. His works have been acquired by institutions such as Lalit Kala Academy, New Delhi, and Glenbarra Art Museum, Japan.
