ARTWORK DETAILS

  • A 'GONDOLA' BOWL
  • Created in 2012
  • This deep dish is shaped like a boat, a modern day interpretation of a Venetian 'Gondola' style to be specific. The designer has played with the form of the dish, the curvilinear walls echo the rhythm of the water, this effect of movement is further enhanced by the small stand which raises the dish from the ground level. An ornate band of flowers wrap the walls of the dish, while the two ends are flanked by flying dragons, which also serve as handles. This could be used to hold floating arrangement of flowers or a pot pourri.

This is a hallmarked 92.5% purity silver bowl made in India.
