Since the inception of House of Chanel in 1910, the luxury brand has been synonymous with cutting-edge fashion and chic sophistication. From the ever popular N??5 perfume and iconic "little black dress," to the two?tone slingback shoe and the famous tweed suit, Gabrielle "Coco" Chanel's vision redefined fashion and inspired women through the 20th century.

The first handbag was introduced in the 1920s, when "ever-practical and tired of having to carry her bag in her hands, the designer took inspiration from soldiers' packs and incorporated an extended strap into her own carryall. After World War II, she launched the quilted bag in earnest, in February 1955 putting a long, chain strap model forth... and captivating women ever since." A decade after Coco Chanel's death in 1971, the celebrated designer Karl Lagerfeld was brought on board, who successfully revamped the brand, including integrating the interlocked "CC" of the monograph as the instantly recognisable company logo. Lagerfeld revived the 2.55 handbag, reintroducing it as "Chanel Classic." Over the years, the brand has introduced many handbags, often variations of the same classic design - including the Chanel Flap Bag, the Chanel Shopping Tote, and many more - each one emanating the same fierce spirit and elegant functionality as the original.
