The Royal Oak series, a mainstay of the Audemar Piguet collection, was originally designed in 1972 as a sports watch and the Royal Oak Offshore collection further developed the sports watch into a luxury timepiece.The current lot from the Royal Oak Offshore collection is a dramatic chronograph with a contrasting 'Volcano' black dial and orange bezel, the dial marked by the the Audemar Piguet statement motif of the “Mega Tapisserie”.

A limited production mens large stainless steel wristwatch, ref. 26170ST, 59 jewel automatic movement, black waffle dial, with orange interior bezel, tachymeter scale, orange Arabic numerals, date aperture at 3 o'clock and three subdials at 6, 9 and 12 o'clock, sapphire crystal, attached to a signed Hornback Alligator strap, with a signed stainless steel deployant buckle, water resistant to 100 m, 42 mm dia.

Accompanied by the original Audemars Piguet presentation box and papers
