Living in a metropolis like Kolkata Das’s thoughts and thereby her works revolve around the city life and its limitations, “ I live in a social background where one has to maintain some specific order. This methodical process becomes a binding on the urban people. People are transfer in a “Machine”. However what she likes to express is not what she sees but rather what she perceives life should be, “ I do not like this mechanized life.
