A little over a year before the Portuguese handed over Goa to India, Mahadeo was born.
In 1980, he graduated (with a gold medal) from Mumbai’s J.J. Institute of Applied Art.

In 1980, he graduated (with a gold medal) from Mumbai’s J.J. Institute of Applied Art.
Thereafter Mahadeo worked with leading ad agencies, winning award at the ABBY and CAG. His work was also featured in the World Review and Archive and he was a Clio Finalist in 1987.
Eventually, his restless quest won over advertising and Mahadeo, along with his friend Venkatesh Pate, held a highly appreciated show Titled ‘The Forgotten Bombay’ in 2002.
In 2003, he was invited to participate in ‘Bench Art’ at Kalaghoda Festival along with other eminent artists. In the same year the duo’s work was presented by Tao Art Gallery at Kalaghoda.
In 2004, Mahadeo & Venkatesh went on to hold their next show at ‘Art Entrance’ at Army and Navy Building.
Since then he has forged his own and has started painting, his most recent exhibition has been at the Nehru Center Gallery, Mumbai in 2006.
The artist lives and works in Mumbai.
