Manager - Jewellery and Collectibles

We are currently looking for a bright, self-motivated, hard-working individual for the position of Manager-Jewellery & Collectibles with about 3-5 years of jewellery experience. This candidate will be primarily responsible for managing job responsibilities listed below. The ideal candidate should have some jewellery experience and/or certification from the GIA. They must also be fluent in English (spoken and written), have good organisational skills, the ability to adhere to tight deadlines, and be familiar with MS Office. Compensation offered is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities:
• Coordinate all the process involved in taking-in and shipping goods. • Perform condition checks of goods at various stages as required in the auction processes. • Regular data entry on the organisation’s internal database • Prepare and update Excel sheets and Word documents as required. • Prepare consignment agreements • Prepare valuations for all products consigned in auctions/events. • Prepare comparables • Maintain the complete stock inventory of the jewellery department, which includes handling jewellery, instruments, forms, and any props used • Maintaining and updating paper records and liaise across locations • Maintain the library for the department’s books • Coordinate and assist in jewellery and collectibles catalogue photoshoots • Coordinate and assist in the process of cataloguing inventory for print/online auction catalogue • Coordinate and assist in post-auction shipment-related processes and checks • Assist in any other projects undertaken by the department (Jewellery conference, Dialogues in Art etc) • Coordinate the jewellery set-up, security protocols, sales, and viewings for any auction and/or client viewings across locations in India • Coordinate and assist with research-related tasks

Requirements:
• Graduate in any discipline is a must • Previous jewellery experience is preferred – relevant work experience of 3 to 5 years • GIA certification is preferred (AJP, Graduate Diamonds) • Experience in luxury retail is preferred • Client servicing experience is a must • Excellent organisation skills and an eye for detail • Should be a team player with the ability to prioritise and complete tasks within agreed-upon deadlines • Willing to adjust to longer work hours, if necessary • Willing to learn, assume additional responsibilities assigned • Good interpersonal and communication skills (written and spoken English) • Familiar and comfortable with working with MS Office suite

We are currently hiring for the position of Senior Manager-Condition Reports & Conservation with about 3-5 years of relevant experience. This candidate will be primarily responsible for managing job responsibilities listed below. The ideal candidate should have an interest in History, Culture and Heritage. They must also be fluent in English (spoken and written), have good organisational skills, the ability to adhere to tight deadlines, and be familiar with MS Office. Compensation offered is commensurate with experience.

Key responsibilities:
• Perform condition checks of goods at various stages as required in the auction processes
• Prepare condition reports across product categories
• Regular data entry on the organisation’s internal database
• Liase with professional conservators across categories
• Meet deadlines set forth by sale leads
• Work with the cataloguing and handling team to ensure shipping and catalogue deadlines are met
• Work with the design team to check final product images
• Manage presentation of the product including framing , sculpture bases etc along with the handling team

Editorial Assistant

We are currently looking for a bright, self-motivated, hard-working individual for the position of Editorial Assistant with a minimum 2-3 years of writing experience. This candidate will be primarily responsible for assisting the editorial team in the day-to-day writing and administrative tasks for Saffronart and its sister auction platform StoryLTD. They should have excellent command over English, grammar and writing, good organisational skills, and the ability to adhere to tight deadlines. A background in art is highly desirable. Compensation offered is commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Regularly writing and updating artist profiles for the website and maintaining a database of the same
• Providing editorial assistance for catalogue writing, including research and image licensing
• Regularly writing and updating the blog with content to promote upcoming auctions, exhibitions, webinars, or events
• Coordinating with various teams to accomplish day-to-day editorial tasks, including but not limited to newsletters and mailers, as well as text or research-based requirements for Saffronart and StoryLTD homepages, cataloguing, etc.
• Assisting with PR and PR related tasks, including writing press releases and occasionally liaising with press
• Creating or editing content for social media/marketing campaigns, while working closely with the marketing team

Requirements:
• A Bachelor’s degree in English/Journalism/Mass Communication/Creative Writing
• Excellent command of the English language, including strong writing and proofreading skills
• Previous writing experience in a content, editorial or journalistic role
• Ability to write concisely while adhering to the company’s style, tone, and voice
• Ability to multitask various projects, and work independently once given a project
• A background in or knowledge about Indian art is preferable

Data Entry Specialist
Location : Mumbai

As a data entry specialist, you will be responsible for accurately entering important company data and keeping records up-to-date. We are looking for candidates with a 10+2 certificate or a Bachelors' degree. Prior full- or part-time experience working in data entry is desirable, though not essential.

Librarian and Researcher

We are looking for an established and hard-working individual with a minimum of 5 years of experience working with library databases to join our team in Mumbai. The candidate will be responsible for managing our reference library and contributing to the research requirements of various departments. The candidate must have excellent organisational and record-keeping skills, the ability to adhere to tight deadlines, and be very comfortable with database management systems. Responsibilities:
• Manage and maintain all records related to the reference library including the online library module
• Oversee the circulation of library materials, keep track of due return dates, and follow up with team members as and when necessary
• Conduct regular checks and updates on inventory and database information
• Oversee the digitisation of the library and work closely and coordinate with the external digitising agency as required
• Assist the Client Relations, Editorial, and Marketing teams with sourcing reference material
